Wuqu' Kawoq (Maya Health Alliance
Wuqu' Kawoq is a Guatemalan organization that brings health and nutrition services closer to rural Maya communities facing geographic, economic and logistical barriers to healthcare.
Its team works directly in communities and households: providing patient care, monitoring children's growth and nutritional status, supporting pregnant women and families, identifying risks early and following up on each case. It also develops health education in Maya languages and adapts its interventions to the culture, practices and needs of each community.
In our partnership, Wuqu' Kawoq contributes clinical and community expertise developed and validated in the field, while Fundación Listo helps adapt, communicate and bring its health education materials to more families.
