Malnutrition is not a choice—it is a direct consequence of exclusion.

“Nearly 1 in 2 children under five in Guatemala suffers from chronic malnutrition.”

Context

In conditions of extreme poverty, many families cannot provide the nutrition their children need to survive, grow, and develop.

Families reach us directly or through our partners. We assess each child's nutritional status using clear, evidence-based criteria and prioritize those at greatest risk. Whenever possible, we provide Nutri Listo and other support to prevent malnutrition and help children recover.

To reach more families, we work alongside implementing organizations and local NGOs that often have very limited resources but have earned the trust of their communities. Together, we reach families in urgent need while strengthening sustainable, locally driven responses.

Impact Areas

Nutrition

Together with partner organizations, we improve access to adequate nutrition during the first years of life and provide Nutri Listo to children with chronic malnutrition through timely supplementation programs.

Education

We create nutrition education that gives families practical knowledge and tools to build healthy, sustainable and culturally relevant habits.

Science

With INCAP's expertise, we ground our work in scientific evidence. Data helps us understand local realities, strengthen our strategies and find new ways to improve nutrition in Guatemala.
